Income Report for August 2023: Exploring Business and Extra Income

Welcome back to my channel! In this video, I will be sharing my income report for the month of August 2023. Despite being under the weather, I mustered up the strength to film this report and provide you with insights into my business and extra income streams. As a content creator with multiple channels, blogs, and offering financial coaching, I generate income through various sources such as buy me a coffee, Etsy, Mediavine, coaching clients, affiliate/sponsorship programs, and Google AdSense. Additionally, I will also discuss my extra income sources like cashback rewards from Wells Fargo, City, Racketon, Fifth Third Bank bonus, and Capital One Venture X. Let's dive into the details!

Business Income

2.1 Buy Me a Coffee/Support

I am incredibly grateful for the direct support I receive through Buy Me a Coffee. In August, I received $49.53 from generous individuals who choose to support my work. Despite the fees, this support goes a long way in sustaining my content creation journey.

2.2 Etsy

Etsy has become a passive income stream for me. Having created spreadsheets several months ago, I continue to earn from this platform. In August, my earnings from Etsy amounted to $105.99, further solidifying its contribution to my overall income.

2.3 Mediavine

As display ads on my blog, LivingLikeLayla.com, Mediavine is a reliable source of income. In August, I earned $133.37 from this ad platform. The consistent performance of Mediavine ads adds stability to my monthly earnings.

2.4 Coaching

Financial coaching is one of the services I offer, and in August, I had the opportunity to work with new clients. Though the payments were dispersed, I earned a total of $196.55 from coaching. The recent implementation of a legitimate platform for bookings has made the payment process smoother for both clients and myself.

2.5 Affiliate/Sponsors

While my earnings from affiliates and sponsors were slightly lower in August, they still contributed significantly to my overall income. The total earnings from affiliate programs and sponsorships amounted to $540.22. Collaborating with brands and promoting products aligning with my content remains a valuable income stream.

2.6 Google AdSense

Among my various income sources, Google AdSense stood out as the highest earner in August. Thanks to my increased upload frequency and commitment to posting four videos per week, I earned $1,507.24 from Google AdSense. It is important for me to strike a balance between content creation and sustainability in the long run.

2.7 Annual Tracker

With a goal to generate at least $30,000 in business income for 2023, I am proud to announce that I am currently 95.6% of the way towards achieving this target. It is expected that by September, I will have accomplished this milestone. Moreover, with projected earnings, my annual business income looks set to exceed $40,000.

Extra Income

3.1 Wells Fargo Cashback

Capitalizing on cashback rewards, Wells Fargo contributed $11.76 to my extra income for August. Utilizing cashback options has been an efficient way to boost my earnings.

3.2 City Cashback

City also offered its cashback rewards, contributing $26.99 to my August extra income. Exploring different platforms for cashback opportunities has proven to be a fruitful endeavor.

3.3 Racketon

As mentioned in previous videos, I have explored and shared my experiences with cashback rewards from Racketon. In August, I received $86.60 from this platform, further validating its credibility in the realm of extra income.

3.4 Fifth Third Bank Bonus

One of my favorite ways to earn extra income is through bank bonuses. By simply opening a checking account with Fifth Third Bank and fulfilling the direct deposit requirements, I received a generous $450 bonus. This easy and time-efficient method has significantly contributed to my total extra income.

3.5 Capital One Venture X Cashback

Capital One Venture X credit card has proven to be a lucrative income source for me. With a cashback reward of $585.60, this credit card has not only covered my travel expenses but also offered additional advantages like a $300 travel credit.

3.6 Goal Tracker

As for my goal tracker for extra income, I initially set the target at $6,000. However, I have already surpassed this goal and currently stand at 17.9% of my new target of $10,000. With consistent efforts, I estimate reaching around $12,000 by the end of 2023.

Business Expenses

Managing a successful business does come with expenses. In August, my business expenses accounted for $1,874. These expenses include Google Workspace subscription ($16.80), Thinkific membership ($432), an office chair purchase ($625.20), and LT Media expenses ($800). While this may seem substantial, these expenses are tax deductible, ensuring that my business remains financially sustainable.

Conclusion

In conclusion, August proved to be another successful month in terms of income generation for both my online business and extra income streams. With a total business income of $2,532.90 and extra income of $1,160.95, I am grateful for the continued support and opportunities that contribute to my financial growth. As I inch closer to achieving my annual business income goal of $30,000, it is evident that my efforts are yielding positive results. Despite business expenses amounting to $1,874, I am aware of their necessity and the potential tax benefits they offer. Overall, I am pleased with my progress and excited about the future prospects of my income streams.
