Michaels Fabric Haul

Introduction

Hello, friends, and welcome back to my channel! If you're new here, I'm AlaskaCraftyGalVictoria. Today, I am excited to share with you a little Michael's fabric haul that I recently went on. While it isn't solely fabric, you'll also find some yarn purchases in this haul. I had a gift card and some great discounts, so I ended up getting quite a lot for my money. Let's dive into the haul and see what I got!

Michaels Fabric Haul

Yarn Purchase

First up in the haul are my yarn purchases. I came across this amazing yarn called Flex, and I couldn't resist getting it. I've already made a couple of baby blankets with this yarn, and I am absolutely in love with it. The texture is so dreamy and soft, and the little flecks in the yarn add a beautiful touch. I found this particular color on clearance for only two dollars a skein, so I grabbed three of them to make another corner-to-corner baby blanket. The quick and satisfying process of working on a corner-to-corner project makes it one of my favorite crochet techniques.

Fabric Purchase

After satisfying my yarn cravings, I moved on to the fabric section. Michaels isn't known for having a wide variety of fabric choices, but they do have a small section dedicated to fat quarters. I found some cute options that I couldn't resist adding to my collection. Let's take a look at each one:

  1. Dash It Fabric: I purchased a two-yard piece of this neutral fabric. It has a lovely pattern and will be perfect for some of the projects I have in mind. Neutrals are essential for balancing out my vibrant fabric stash.

  2. Bumblebee Fabric: I couldn't resist this adorable one-yard cut of fabric featuring bumblebees. The yellow and black design is charming, and I knew it would add a whimsical touch to my creations.

  3. Flowers in a Jar Fabric: Another cute find was this fat quarter fabric with a delightful pattern of flowers in jars. The yellow and gray color scheme is cheerful and versatile. I picked up two fat quarters of this fabric.

  4. Purple and Gray Fabric: I fell in love with the combination of purple and gray in this fabric design. It's a soothing color palette and perfect for creating a serene atmosphere. I grabbed three fat quarters of this fabric.

  5. Moons and Stars Fabric: For something a bit more celestial, I found this black, gray, and white fabric featuring moons and stars. It has a cool and edgy vibe, and I knew it would make unique projects. I bought three fat quarters of this fabric.

  6. Llama Fabric: Llamas are currently trending, and I couldn't resist joining in on the fun. I found a lovely llama fabric and picked up three fat quarters. The cute llamas are guaranteed to bring a smile to anyone's face!

  7. Happy Art Fabric: This fabric caught my eye with its vibrant colors and playful design. It features various art supplies and has such a fun and cheerful vibe. I picked up two fat quarters of this fabric.

  8. Polka Dots Fabric: Lastly, I couldn't resist adding some polka dots to my collection. Polka dots are classic and versatile, and they never go out of style. I bought three fat quarters of this fabric, ensuring I have plenty to work with.

Serendipity Etsy Store

In addition to my Michaels haul, I also made an amazing sewing-related purchase from the Serendipity Etsy store. I recently came across a tin that caught my attention, and I just had to share it with you all. The tin is designed to look like a spool of thread and is absolutely adorable. It says "Empire Pure Cotton 100 Yards" and is from the Silver Crane Company, a sewing thread made in England. Currently, it's holding some flower dough ornaments I made using my dog's paw prints during the holidays. I plan to paint them soon. But back to the tin, it's the cutest addition to my sewing room decor.

I highly recommend checking out the Serendipity Etsy store. It offers a fantastic range of vintage items, linens, fabrics, antiques, collectibles, and cottage decor. The shop has some of the cutest decorative items, not just for crafting, but also for various types of antiques and collectibles. I've had great experiences with this store, and the owner constantly updates it with new items. The prices are reasonable, and the shipping is also quite affordable. If you're interested in exploring unique and charming items, I highly recommend paying a visit to this delightful shop on Etsy.
