Packing and Shipping Orders

Welcome back to my channel! In this video, I'll be taking you through the process of packing and shipping a bunch of orders that I've received. As a small business owner selling on platforms like Etsy and Depop, the fourth quarter of the year is an exciting time as sales tend to skyrocket due to Halloween and Christmas shopping. So, let's dive right in and get started with the packing process.

To ensure a smooth packing operation, I always make sure to prepare everything I need beforehand. This includes having all the necessary packaging materials such as tissue paper, stickers, and candy ready and easily accessible. Having a well-organized setup is crucial for efficiency, especially when dealing with a high volume of orders.

Once I'm ready to start packing, I enlist the help of my partner, who acts as my assistant in this assembly line process. We begin by sorting through the orders, starting with the ones from Depop. I take each item, carefully wrap it in tissue paper, and pass it over to my assistant. Their role is to add the stickers and candy that I've specially prepared for each order. This adds a personal touch and creates a delightful unboxing experience for the customer.

One of the first items that sold is a brown cater beanie with little hearts. This particular beanie has been sitting in my inventory for quite some time, so I was thrilled to see it find a loving home. As we continue packing, we come across a plain black cater beanie, which is a popular choice among customers. These beanies have a subtle charm, and I'm glad they're getting the appreciation they deserve.

Next, we move on to the fluffy brim faux fur cater beanies. These beanies come in various colors and are known for their cozy and stylish design. Whether it's a plain black one or a vibrant shade, customers love the touch of faux fur on the brim. We wrap each beanie and place it in the appropriate package, ensuring it's securely sealed.

As we progress through the orders, we encounter a gray cater beanie with a gray faux fur brim. This unique combination gives off a witchy vibe, making it popular among those seeking a spooky aesthetic. Alongside the cater beanies, we also offer oversized versions for those who prefer a more dramatic look. The oversized cater beanies come in a variety of colors, including a grape and black combination that has been particularly in demand.

In addition to packaging the beanies themselves, we like to include a little something extra in each order. Customers who purchase crochet items receive freebies such as extra stickers and candy. It's a small gesture to show appreciation for their support and to add a touch of excitement to their package.

While the focus of my business is primarily on cater beanies, I've recently started selling clothes on Depop as well. It's been an enjoyable experience branching out and exploring new avenues within the world of fashion. The pink American Eagle shorts, which sold from my Depop pile, are proof that my clothing items are finding their place in the market.

Packaging plays a vital role not just in protecting the items during transit, but also in branding and creating a memorable experience for the customers. I take great care in ensuring that each package is neatly wrapped, accompanied by a spooky nail sticker that adds a playful touch. The packaging reflects the aesthetic of my brand and leaves a lasting impression on the recipient.

Promotion is key to the success of any business. In addition to selling on Etsy and Depop, I make sure to actively promote my store through various channels. This includes social media platforms, collaborations with influencers, and participating in virtual craft fairs. These efforts help to reach a wider audience and attract potential customers to my online store.

In conclusion, packing and shipping orders is an essential part of running a successful small business. The fourth quarter brings an influx of sales, and it's crucial to have an organized and efficient packing process. With attention to detail and a personal touch, I strive to provide my customers with a delightful unboxing experience. As I continue to grow and expand my brand, I am grateful for the support of my customers and the opportunities that arise during this busy time of year.
