One of the first tasks I need to take care of is jotting down some notes on the orders I have received. After finalizing the notes, I grab one of my baskets and head into the room where I store all of my products. As you can see, the inventory is a bit low at the moment, but I am expecting supplies to come in soon to restock. I gather everything I need for the wholesale order and a couple of smaller individual orders. Additionally, I like to add in some cards so customers can choose personalized messages for their gift boxes.

Upcoming Changes to Gift Boxes

Speaking of gift boxes, there will be some exciting changes coming in 2022. While I will still offer the current options, I am phasing them out a bit to make room for brand new designs. I'm working on a complete overhaul of my Etsy shop to make the gift boxes easier to put together and more customized. They will feature beautiful quotes on the top of the boxes and a message inside, providing a delightful unboxing experience for recipients.

Making Botanical Bath Salts

Now let's dive into the first product we'll be making today — salt botanical bath salts. To start, I'm using dendritic salt, which is a powdered form that holds essential oils better than regular salts. I add lavender essential oil for a lovely scent, along with a hint of vanilla and tangerine or sweet orange. The combination creates a fragrance that is both soothing and invigorating. After mixing everything together, I let the dendritic salts dry before packaging them.

I combine bentonite clay, kaolin rose peeling clay, fuller's earth clay, and powdered goat's milk to form a well-rounded mask.
