Introduction

Hey everyone! I just wanted to take a moment to thank you all for the incredible support you've shown me. A few weeks ago, I set up an Etsy shop for the first time and to my surprise, we sold out in under 4 hours. I couldn't believe that people actually wanted to buy the items I made. It was a dream come true. So, I've decided to do it again! I currently have a pre-sale going on for my Apple keychains, which were featured in this video. I wanted to give you all more time to grab one before they sell out. Trust me, this time there will be way more stock available.

Setting up an Etsy shop

Let me start by telling you a little about my experience setting up an Etsy shop. It was a new venture for me, and I wasn't sure how it would go. But I took the leap and it turned out to be even more successful than I could have imagined. The process was fairly straightforward. I created my shop, added pictures of my products, and set up the payment and shipping options. It took a bit of time and effort, but it was worth it in the end.

Pre-Sale Announcement

I'm excited to announce that we have another pre-sale happening right now! This time, I'll be offering not only the Apple keychains but also other fruit designs like bananas and more. These designs are perfect for adding a touch of whimsy to your accessories. So, if you missed out last time or want to grab more items, make sure to check out the pre-sale on my Etsy shop. Keep in mind that these items will be stocked later, so you won't receive them immediately. But I promise it'll be worth the wait.

Product Description

Now, let's talk a little about the Apple keychains. These adorable keychains are handmade with love. They are crafted to look like little apples, with my name and signature on the back. Each keychain is unique and whimsical, making it the perfect accessory for any bag or set of keys. They are made with high-quality materials to ensure durability, so you can enjoy them for years to come. Trust me, these keychains are a must-have for any fruit lover or anyone looking to add some charm to their everyday essentials.

Stock Update

I wanted to take a moment to update you on the stock availability. As I mentioned earlier, we sold out incredibly fast last time. But not to worry, this time we have anticipated the demand and stocked up accordingly. There will be plenty of Apple keychains available, so you don't have to worry about missing out. I've also restocked some of the previous designs that sold out last time. So, make sure to check out my Etsy shop for all the available options.

Other Fruit Designs

In addition to the Apple keychains, I'm also excited to introduce other fruit designs. Alongside the apples, you'll find adorable banana keychains and possibly even more creative designs that I come up with. I wanted to offer a variety of options to cater to different tastes and preferences. These fruit keychains make great gifts for friends and loved ones or even a treat for yourself. Keep an eye out for the new designs that will be available on my Etsy shop.

Personal Update

I wanted to take a moment to share a personal update with all of you. As some of you may already know, I am a college student, and life can get pretty busy. But I am doing my best to juggle my studies and my passion for creating these unique keychains. I appreciate all the support and love you have shown me. It truly means the world to me. Your encouragement is what keeps me going, even during the challenging times. So, I wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude and let you know how much I appreciate each and every one of you.

Finishing the Apple Keychains

Now, let's get back to finishing up these Apple keychains. I have been working on perfecting the design, and I'm excited to show you the final product. Each keychain is carefully handcrafted and glazed to give it a glossy finish. It's the attention to detail that sets these keychains apart from the rest. The pliers are my trusty tools that help me attach the hardware to complete the keychains. Just a few more steps, and they'll be ready to bring joy to their new owners.

Q&A Session:

Opinion on Tracing

Tracing is a topic that often comes up in the art community. Personally, I believe that tracing can be a helpful tool for learning new things. When I was younger, I often traced to get a better understanding of form and proportions. However, I do not support passing off traced artwork as one's own. It's important to give credit where credit is due and respect the original creator's work. While tracing can be a valuable learning tool, it should not be used to deceive others.

Required Classes for Illustration Major

As an illustration major, there are certain classes that are mandatory. For example, one of the mandatory classes is the History of Illustration, which provides a comprehensive understanding of the field. There are also various studio classes, such as Concept Painting, that help develop foundational skills. Additionally, there may be liberal arts classes that are required as part of the curriculum. The specific classes may vary depending on the institution and program, but these are some common ones in an illustration major.

Will You Be My Friend?

Absolutely! I would love to be your friend. If you ever see me in public, don't hesitate to say hi. I enjoy meeting my viewers and getting to know all of you. I might seem quiet at times, but that's just because I might be tired. So, if you ever spot me, come say hello. Building connections with my audience is something that brings me joy and keeps me motivated.

Where Do You Study?

I study at RISD, which stands for the Rhode Island School of Design. It's a prestigious art school on the East Coast. Being part of such a creative and nurturing environment has been a wonderful experience. RISD offers a wide range of programs, and I am fortunate to be pursuing my passion for illustration here.

How Old Are You?

Currently, I am 19 years old. However, I will be turning 20 this upcoming May. Time flies! I feel grateful for all the opportunities and experiences I've had at such a young age. There is still so much to learn and explore, and I'm excited for the future.

What's Your Favorite TV Show?

I don't have a favorite TV show at the moment. Currently, I have been spending more time watching YouTube videos and vlogs than regular TV shows. Although, I did recently finish watching "You" on Netflix, and I really enjoyed it. It's a thrilling Netflix original series that kept me hooked from start to finish.

How Do You Manage Your Time?

Managing my time is essential, especially as a college student and a content creator. When it comes to balancing schoolwork and hanging out with friends, I prioritize my studies. Homework and assignments come first for me. However, I also ensure that I spend quality time with my friends whenever possible. It's all about finding a balance that works for you and being mindful of your priorities.

Any Nutrition or Fitness Advice?

When it comes to nutrition, I used to follow a paleo diet. However, I have since stopped strictly adhering to it and instead focus on eating a balanced diet. I believe in listening to your body and giving it the fuel it needs. As for fitness, I try to work out at the gym as much as my schedule allows, typically around 3-4 times a week. Finding a form of exercise that you enjoy is key to staying motivated. It's important to do what feels right for your body and not force yourself to do something you don't enjoy.

Have You Ever Fallen Out of Love with Art?

Yes, there have been times when I've felt disconnected from art. It's not uncommon for artists to go through periods of self-doubt and lack of inspiration. However, I've learned to embrace those moments as part of the creative process. Taking breaks and trying new things can help reignite the spark and passion for art. It's essential to remember that it's okay to step back and reevaluate your creative journey. Art is a personal expression, and reconnecting with your inner creativity is a continuous process.

What Did You Do to Get Better at Art?

Getting better at art takes practice and dedication. I dedicated a lot of time to honing my skills and developing my artistic style. I believe that consistent practice is the key to improvement. Over the years, I've enrolled in various art classes, participated in workshops, and experimented with different mediums. Additionally, I constantly seek inspiration from other artists and strive to push my boundaries. As I continue to create and learn, I discover new techniques and approaches that help me grow as an artist.

Relationship with Asian Culture

I grew up in an area with not many Chinese people, so I felt somewhat detached from my Asian culture. However, as I've gotten older, I've come to appreciate and explore my cultural roots more. While I still have much to learn, I'm actively seeking to immerse myself in Asian culture. It's a journey of self-discovery and connection, and I'm excited to embrace it.

Insecurities and Overcoming Them

Insecurities are something that many people struggle with, including myself. One of my biggest insecurities is feeling not good enough. I often worry that I'm not measuring up to my own expectations and the expectations of others. However, I've learned to combat these insecurities by reminding myself that growth and improvement are lifelong processes. I focus on nurturing a positive mindset and celebrating small victories along the way. It's important to remember that everyone has their own journey and that self-acceptance is key to overcoming insecurities.

Biggest Moment of Failure and How It Was Overcome

I don't view failures as permanent setbacks but rather as opportunities for growth. Admittedly, there have been times when things didn't go as planned or when I faced rejection. However, I use those experiences as stepping stones to learn and improve. One of the most important lessons I've learned is to persevere and not let setbacks define me. Instead, I choose to see them as valuable lessons that shape me into a stronger and more resilient individual.

Conclusion

Thank you for joining me on this Q&A journey. I hope I was able to answer your questions and provide insights into various aspects of my life. Your support and encouragement mean the world to me.
